Ingredients:-

4 cups water
2 cups flour
Salt
Olive oil
Water
Date syrup
Honey

Aseeda with Butter & Honey

Directions:-

In a deep pan bring 2 cups of water to a boil

Add to the boiling water a pinch of salt and a drizzle of olive oil or table spoon butter. Mix well

Add 2 cups of flour at once and quickly begin stirring with a large wooden spoon or long clean wooden flat tip stick (Called Mugraf)

Continue stirring till all the water is absorbed by the flour and turns into a rough dough

Remove from the heat and mix with the wooden spoon or stick for a few minutes till there are no lumps left

Pour over the dough a cup of boiling water & return to heat and when the water is absorbed remove from the heat and mix with the wooden spoon for a few more minutes

Add another cup of boiling water over the dough cover and return to a medium heat till the water is absorbed and the dough is fully cooked.

Place the dough in an olive oil coated large bowl and kneed very well till the dough bonds together and becomes firm & soft

Form the dough into a round shape and place it in the middle of a serving bowl
Drizzle a little melted butter on top of the dough

Pour either date syrup or mixture of honey and melted butter around the dough (It depends on what you crave)

Eat with your bare hand by taking a bite size from the dough and dipping into the Date syrup or the honey butter mix
